2018 July 20 Friday in Grimes Iowa
66° and breezy this morning made it almost cool enough for a jacket. There wasn’t a sunrise photo this morning because it never got through the clouds until later. It only reached a high of 79°.
I worked from 8-3:30 today. When I got off work, we went to the post office to get the mail which included a pair of red baseball caps
Then we went to Goodwill to look for some tools that looked well used. They are to be props for Santa’s work apron. I didn’t find any tools but did purchase a small wooden toy for 50¢.
We also ran into a former sister-in-law, Shelley. We visited for a while, standing in the store.
The next stop was Restore. Again looking for tools but finding none that I wanted.
We had Long John Silvers for supper.
There was time for a short rest before going to the adult center to play Card Jackpot. Ella won a nice round and I will the quarter round.
No sunset photo. I just couldn’t force myself to take one more picture of a cloudless burnt orange sky.
This weekend is Christmas in July. So we put up a few lights and a Nativity.
