2019 May 19 Sunday in Cutty’s, Grimes, Agency, Prescott, and Winterset, Iowa

57° and cloudy start with intermittent rains and a high of 58°.

.

We left home shortly after sunrise.

And arrived at John and Dawn’s right at 8:00 and shortly thereafter began a day long road trip.

We arrived in Agency Iowa around 9:30. After a brief stop at a convenience store for bathroom breaks, we went to the cemetery to places flowers on Ella’s parents’s grave.

We then attended church at the church where her father, grandparents, and great grandparents had attended.

After church we stopped for lunch or maybe it was a very late brunch. Dawn ordered pancakes, eggs, hash browns, and a ham streak. She didn’t expect what she got.

Ella had French toast made from thick slices of French bread. Eat your heart out Texas toast.

John then drove from the south east part of the state to the south west. We went to Prescott Iowa where many in my family are buried. Including my great uncle George Jones.

My grand parents

And my aunt Ann’s uncle.

The next stop was the cemetery on Winterset Iowa where many out Dawn’s family are buried.

We arrived home just shy of 12 hours from when we left. It was a great day of sharing family stories.
