2019 June 01 Saturday in Cutty’s, Grimes, Iowa

53° and, because of wildfires in Canada*, smoky haze.

I tried something different this morning. I microwaved two small potatoes and then diced them. I have a silicone muffin pan that I cut down to 9 instead of 12 holes. I did that because it wouldn’t fit in a compact convection oven that we had. But now that it it’s smaller. It also fits the microwave.

I buttered four of theholes and placed eggs in them. I put the diced potatoes in for holes, leaving the center hole empty

.

I worked at the fee booth from 8 to 3:30 and it was a steadily busy day without being overly rushed.

When I left work we went to the closest Verizon store looking for good quality cell phone charger cords. It was a surprise to find that the store was no longer there. The next closest Verizon store was in the outlots of the local Wal-Mart. Ella was unable tho find the quality she was looking for. She also thought that the lower quality cords were too expensive. So we went tho Wal-Mart with the reasoning that, if we had to settle for low quality, we might as well get it at least cheaply.

The remainder of the day was rest and relax.

God bless and g’nite

Work day 13

*Wind is pushing smoke from wildfires raging across the northern part of the Canadian province of Alberta hundreds of miles south and east, into the United States. And when smoke fills the sky, especially high in the atmosphere, it reflects the sunset colors of red and orange back to the surface, magnifying them.
