2019 June 23 Sunday

62° and more rain overnight and cloudy in the morning. We had breakfast at home but went to the clubhouse for coffee with our friends who were having pancakes and French toast. Then we went up to the adult center and got it set up for worship. We have a “Coffee Shop” type of service where we are seated around tables. There were only four there today, which is always a little disappointing. I think it was a good sermon on the Triune God. I will have to record it and post it to my YouTube channel later.

For lunch I fixed pan fried steak, brown rice, and corn. It was good. So the photograph came a little too late.I worked 2-9 today. When I arrived at the fee booth, there were trailers and cars in line out to the street waiting.Normally Sunday’s are busy with people checking out not in. However, Independence Day is coming up and people are jockeying for position to see the fireworks that will be shot off over our lake on July 6th. Campers can only be on a site for a maximum of 14 days. So by coming in today, they will not have to leave or move until July 7th, the day after the fireworks.

Sundog* in the sky.

God bless and g’nite

*A sundog is a concentrated patch of sunlight occasionally seen about 22° to the left or right of the Sun. Sundogs often form in pairs on either side of our daytime star when sunlight refracts through icy clouds containing hexagonal platecrystals aligned with their large, flat faces parallel to the ground.
