2018 September 28 Friday in Grimes Iowa

41°, rainy and cloudy start to the day.

If I adjust the filters on the camera just a little, it looks like a much nicer day.

Because of the rain, Sue decided to not ride her electric scooter to the clubhouse to have coffee. Somewhat to our surprise, Francis and Sandy came. We thought she had a doctor’s appointment this morning. As it turned out it is later in the day. Ron, president of the Cutty’s board, stopped and had coffee while he waited for an appointment.

We took ice cream bars to the senior center today. Usually, when people at the center have a birthday, they bring ice cream treats for everyone. Both of our birthdays are in the winter while we are in Texas. Because of this we brought treats to share on this, our last day at the center until spring. We did our goodbyes and got a few hugs on the way out after lunch.

Evening came and some of us gathered at Cutty’s Adult Center for the last Card Jackpot games until next camping season.
