Happy 1st day of summer!

64° and About to get hit with more rain.

Nope! No sun. It slept in this morning, I guess.

We didn’t go to the cafe for coffee this morning. I had to go to work and Ella stayed home because of the rain … and the rain still to come. But we had coffee at home.

Have you ever noticed how vivid and crisp the colors are during and after a rain? Well our colors have been vivid for long enough. I’m ready for the burnt yellow grass of summer!

9:30 and it appears that we may be half way through the rain.

I just heard a role of thunder that must have lasted a full minute. It would build in volume, then fade, then rebuildand fade repeatedly but never total stop. I’ve never heard it like that before.

Around 11 the rain petered out but the gloom lingered.

72 soggy degrees for the high today.

I won one round. I’m rich! Almost a dollar. Ella won about a dollar and a half. We each put in seventy five cents. So we came out about a dollar ahead … this week.
