2019 August 16 Friday in Cutty’s, Grimes, Iowa

63° overnight, 66° daybreak and 81° for thehigh

Cutty’s lake was nice and calm this morning.

Mr. Housefinch dining on thistle seed at our feeder.

Mr. and Mrs. Goldfinch dining with Mr. Housefinch

I was dreading putting the “roof” on the box. It is 3/4″ marine grade plywood and quite heavy.

However, using leverage and superhero strength (mostly leverage) this old man got it up, positioned, and screwed down … all by myself.

First coat of paint on most of it. Not looking too shoddy, if I do say do myself.

5-3/4 tables full at card jackpot tonight.

Only 3 cards to go to win the final round of Card Jackpot.

God bless and g’nite
