2019 August 19 Monday in Cutty’s, Grimes, Iowa
66° and partially cloudy.
“Little” Francis had already left and Bob hadn’t arrived yet when I took this photo. However, Keith and Jean, Francis and Sandy, Sue, Ella and I were there to discuss world affairs, family crisis, gun control, and other weighty problems. We solved none of them.
This is Cutty’s Cafe and store. I felt I should show them to you, since I mention them so often.
Today’s menu at the Grimes senior center. For those who like these sort out meals, this is the type of meals they’ll like. Me not so much. The casserole was full of mushy rice and way overcooked broccoli. And I just have never liked stewed tomatoes outside of a stew.
Some were playing Wii bowling today but is wasn’t any of the regular bowling teams, must have been open bowling.
There were lots of choices to ruin your diet and test your diabetics medications.
Ella and I played several games of Rummikube.
After Sue arrived, we switched to Fast Track.
Then to round out my day, I went back to work after 6 days off.
God bless and g’nite
