2019 August 21 Wednesday in Cutty’s, Grimes, Iowa
Still 80° at 1 a.m., 76° at 4 a.m., rain started at 9 a.m. and cooled it to 71°. But by noon it as back to 80. However it as 10° cooler this evening than yesterday night.
This was sunrise?
Ella and I did not go to coffee at the cafe this morning. We did make it to the senior center.
Bingo was the game of the day at the senior center.
About 2 p.m. most of our usual group made it to Village Inn for pie.
I was ready for a nap by the time we returned home. However, I still had a sermon to work on. I was still working on it at 6:30 when it was time to to to the adult center for Train Dominos. Ella didn’t want to drive, so I went along. I did not play. For quite a while I sat in an easy chair and wrote more sermon. Eventually I went to the truck so that I could read through the sermon aloud. That’s how I check for misspellings (autocorrect errors), continuity, and time. I had read through it once, making corrections, and had gone about seven minutes into it a second time, when the gamers started filling out of the building. I’ll find some alone time tomorrow in a quiet place to read it aloudat least once more.
God bless and g’nite
