2020 February 21 Friday in Liberty Hill, Texas http://www.tomandellajournal.com
am slowly easing my journaling to my other blog http://TomAndEllaJournal.com RVingFulltimeWithTomAndElla was originally set up to blog our RV journey. As both of our RVs are on, more or less, permanent sites now, it seems reasonable to change our focus to journaling this stage of our lives on http://TomAndEllaJournal.com.If you have been following this, the old site, I strongly encourage you to follow our continuing story on http://TomAndEllaJournal.com. Thank you

‘m really excited about the New domain name and email address.
Not quite six hours of sleep. But okay I’m back to waking at five o’clock, which had been my “normal” time to wake for years. Now our I can just get to sleep earlier.
espite all of the recent rains, we are still in a drought.
“So far, Texas has seen relatively little change in drought conditions since the beginning of the year. As of last week, more than half the state, or about 53.4%, was experiencing some degree of drought, but the winter rainfall in Austin is only about a half-inch less than normal.“ (Quoted from Austin Statesman)
ven though I was awake and moving at five o’clock, I fell into the YouTube black hole and missed getting a photo of the sunset. If you really need a sunrise photo here is one from February 14th. Today’s sunrise would have nearly exactly like the forteenth’s.
ecause Ella and I didn’t get around until later today, we skipped breakfast and went to the Georgetown senior center earlier than usual. As it turned out, we were the first ones (other than staff) to arrive.
y the time lunch was served, there were about a dozen folks at the center
e stopped at the Wal-Mart store inn Georgetown before coming home. We were out of milk, both the regular refrigerated and the shelf-stable, ultra pasteurized milk. Though it does not NEED to be refrigerated, I like to keep at least one cartoon refrigerated “just in case.”
ep, I’m trying to lose weight again. And by “trying” I mean, I hope I will loose about fifty to sixty pounds without me doing anything different in my life.
hat is either the sunset over a live oak or a burning bush. What do you think? Should I go investigate?

ine hours of sleep? I told you I was tired. Really, I think I truly did need the sleep. I try to turn my restless mind off at night as I lay in bed. However, it races along, swerving from one thought to another.

he Grandies** met, as usual, in the Over The Hill Gang* building for our weekly Wednesday meeting.
hen the meeting part of Grandies** was over, Rex, Blanca, Bill, Karen, Ella, and I played a game out Fast Track. It is even more fun to play with six people in teams of two. Ella and Bill won.
fter Grandies**, Rex, Blanca, Bill, Karen, Ella, and I went to Hobo Junction for lunch. The Three men ordered the daily special: chicken fried steak. That was the whole reason that we went there. Oh okay, also we enjoy each other’s company.

dreary sky to end a dreary (though fun-filled) day in Texas.

think I’m getting the hang of this going – to – sleep – before – midnight thing. Now if I can get it backed down to closer to ten.
kay, not warm, but above freezing and sunny. Sunny? Really? Sunny?
oes this look like SUNNY to you? Sometime around noon it truly did become full sunshine.

unch thursday at OTHG was meatloaf, mashed potatoes, gravy, pinto beans, green beans, salad, peaches, cottage cheese, and a variety of desserts. After lunch we played canasta.
ap time at the Williams household. As soon a w arrived home from the OTHG, I swallowed a dose of Nyquil, dropped the recliner into full recliner, and took a nap. Shortly after I awakened, Ella went into nap mode.
made some banana flavored pudding and sprinkled Graham cracker crumbs over it to make a sort of upside down pie.
Not much of a sunset tonight.
