2020 February 21 Friday in Liberty Hill, Texas http://www.tomandellajournal.comam slowly easing my journaling to my other blog http://TomAndEllaJournal.com RVingFulltimeWithTomAndElla was originally set up to blog our RV journey. As both of our RVs are on, more or less, permanent sites now, it seems reasonable to change our focus to journaling this stage of our lives on http://TomAndEllaJournal.com.If you have been following this, the old site, I strongly encourage you to follow our continuing story on http://TomAndEllaJournal.com. Thank youmail to: tomandEllajournal@gmail.com‘m really excited about the New domain name and email address. Not quite six hours of sleep. But okay I’m back to waking at five o’clock, which had been my “normal” time to wake for years. Now our I can just get to sleep earlier.espite all of the recent rains, we are still in a drought.
So far, Texas has seen relatively little change in drought conditions since the beginning of the year. As of last week, more than half the state, or about 53.4%, was experiencing some degree of drought, but the winter rainfall in Austin is only about a half-inch less than normal. (Quoted from Austin Statesman)ven though I was awake and moving at five o’clock, I fell into the YouTube black hole and missed getting a photo of the sunset. If you really need a sunrise photo here is one from February 14th. Today’s sunrise would have nearly exactly like the forteenth’s.ecause Ella and I didn’t get around until later today, we skipped breakfast and went to the Georgetown senior center earlier than usual. As it turned out, we were the first ones (other than staff) to arrive.y the time lunch was served, there were about a dozen folks at the centere stopped at the Wal-Mart store inn Georgetown before coming home. We were out of milk, both the regular refrigerated and the shelf-stable, ultra pasteurized milk. Though it does not NEED to be refrigerated, I like to keep at least one cartoon refrigerated “just in case.”

ep, I’m trying to lose weight again. And by “trying” I mean, I hope I will loose about fifty to sixty pounds without me doing anything different in my life.

hat is either the sunset over a live oak or a burning bush. What do you think? Should I go investigate?

t is not often that the day begins already at the high temperature for the day. I think “it’s all down hill from here” applies. Don’t you?

e didn’t eat until after Ella’s visit with the urologist. The appointment was for ten. We arrived at about quarter to ten. We were out of the doctor’s just before eleven. Results on Friday (?)

ou can tell by the photographs that we had lunch at Dairy Queen.

e were home, had taken a picture of the sky (photo above), and sitting in our recliners before our alarms told us that it was noon.

rizzly rain and an overcast sky daybreak through to day’s end. It was sixty six degrees this morning and forty six degrees at bedtime. More, real rain, is predicted for tonight.

arm, cloudy, and dense fog alert. I concur. The view from my deck looked cloudy and foggy. At the same time it felt remarkably warm for mid February.

ince it is Presidents Day, all of the senior centers are closed. We had nowhere to go and all day to get there. That gave Ella the opportunity to beat me two out of three games of Fast Track.

The sky at noon when it was seventy four degrees outside and inside. That is why there is a fan in the doorway. Before long, the door will be shut and the air conditioning started.

nce it reached eight degrees outside and eighty five inside, it was definitely time for the air conditioning.

he sun, at its setting, made me forget the lackluster, fog and cloud shrouded beginning of the day.

Sleep

Hazy cold? Crazy cold. Much colder than the weather men/women predicted. Much colder than I was prepared for.

Sunrise. I told you a few days back that it wouldn’t be long until the dim would rise behind that danged power pole. Well, tah duh!

From Facebook. I saw this word search on Facebook. They didn’t want you to post the answer. They just wanted it reposted. I don’t do that. But I just wanted to prove that I could solve it.

Bingo was the name of the game at the Georgetown senior center. They just decorated the center for Saint Valentine’s day.

Attendance was still a little off. But, those of us that were there, had a good time.

Pizza sounded good tonight. Rather than cook, I ordered a Domino’s pie for supper.

There was a little color in this evening’s sky.

fter the worship service, we went to our Sunday school class. We have just begun to study Adam Hamilton’s book “Making Sense Of The Bible.”

e needed a few essentials to restock our refrigerator and pantry. That meant a trip to the Wal-Mart in Cedar Park. While there I topped off the truck’s gas tank.

y the time we were dove at Wal-Mart, it was past noon and time for lunch. Golden Chick was on or way home so we went through the drive-up. We brought the food home and ate here.

ore hazy skies with which to contend today. I am beginning to really miss those deep blue skies that we associate with Texas.

omewhere in the eastern sky, the sun is stoking its furnace in preparation for it’s day long crawl across the sky.

he sun has risen. That’s a good start. Now, let’s see if it can burn through the haze.

ell, the haze was replaced by (or joined by) a layer of blanketing clouds. The above picture was taken at 10:36 a.m. and the one below at 3:10 p.m.

lla and I played three rounds of Fast Track this morning. She beat me all three times. In the afternoon we play twice more in which she only beat me once.

hortly after six o’clock three sun dropped below the horizon and at the same time, below the clouds. So to recap, sunshine at sunrise and some sun at sunset.
